Enlightenment Moon: Psychology of Lunar Alchemy

This Full Moon sits in Scorpio — the same full moon under which Buddha reached enlightenment.
That matters, because Scorpio holds deep energy. In the work we do in the Soul Garden, it’s the underworld.
The line between life and death. The bridge between the conscious and the subconscious.

Scorpio rules the eighth house. It’s sharp, intuitive, and not afraid of shadow.
It brings light to the invisible, especially the parts we’ve pushed down.

I’ve been dealing with health challenges. Real ones. I had to cancel everything in February and March.
Diagnosed with stage four GERD. Food became complicated. Even on my birthday, I couldn’t eat cake.
That’s how bad it got.

And while working with a naturopath to heal my gut and change my lifestyle,
something else surfaced -
emotions.

I’ve stored in my second chakra for 52 years. Long enough. That backlog of feelings?
It's now an illness. It’s showing up in my physical body.

I’ve been feeling it all — depression, hopelessness, confusion. But then came a decision: I want to heal.
That declaration hit hard. I told myself, “I can heal. I will find a solution.” And something shifted.

Lunar Alchemy came from that space. I didn’t create it in a moment of clarity — I built it to help myself move through confusion, fatigue, and emotional weight by aligning with something steady - the Moon.
And by understanding how the subconscious actually works.

Lunar Alchemy
is a system I created to turn internal crisis into a kind of transformation. It’s built on psychological truths and the rhythm of the Moon. It doesn’t add something new.

At the core is one idea:

If your subconscious holds the patterns, you can work with those patterns to change your experience.

But first - you need to understand how the subconscious works.

The Role of the Subconscious

Moon work, for me, is about syncing with the moon’s rhythm to sync with myself. The waxing moon is for building. The waning moon is for releasing. New moon is for planting. First quarter is for action. Full moon?
That’s where you see the truth. It’s a mirror. And that reflection may not always be flattering.

Here’s what I’ve come to understand about the subconscious:

  • It listens. Constantly.

  • It stores everything, even what we’ve forgotten.

  • It doesn’t know true from false.

  • It responds best to emotion and repetition.

  • It works in symbols. Pictures. Rituals.

Layers of Consciousness

We live across multiple levels of awareness. Lunar Alchemy works by tuning into these layers:

  • Consciousness- Reasoning, attention-focusing, intellect & emotions

  • Subconsciousness - Stores memories (from this life and others), regulates body functions, holds habits

  • Super consciousness - the Higher Self

  • Collective Unconscious - patterns of evolutionary development, such as instincts.

  • Collective Superconscious - collective contact with the Divine

Why the Moon?

In astrology and the ancient mysteries the Moon is connected to and symbolic of the subconscious. You can attune your actions, behaviors and habits to the Moon’s rhythm to guide and amplify your healing transformation.

When the Moon waxes or gets bigger you build upon the growing energy (start new projects, implement new habits).

When the Moon wanes or gets smaller you can optimize the releasing and shedding process.

On a very basic level, Lunar Alchemy works by building up the energy you desire and releasing the energy that you no longer desire.

The Lunar Alchemy Cycle

The moon reflects the subconscious. In both astrology and Kabbalah, it’s a symbol of the hidden self — the place of memories, habits, instincts. The moon’s cycle gives us structure:

  • New Moon
Set the intention. Plant the seed.

  • First Quarter
    Take action. Change habits.

  • Full Moon
see what’s growing. See the conflict.

  • Last Quarter
Let go of what’s not working.

Right now, you are at the Full Moon place. Seeing clearly, the conflict between what you want and what you have subconsciously accepted. That is where the moon work matters. It empowers you to make the shift, because ultimately you
    get to choose.

Lunar Alchemy connects the Moon’s phases with the mind’s design. It doesn’t add something new.
It organizes what’s already happening — and gives you tools to work with it consciously.

You seed what you want.

You act on it.

You observe the friction.

You release what no longer supports the goal.

And you start again.

Right now, I’m still healing. Going deeper. Figuring it out.

But I’ve decided something important: I want to heal. I believe I can.

And that choice — that declaration — is what kicks everything into motion.

We can’t work with what we don’t see. The Scorpio Full Moon helps us see.
